JIPMER PG 2018 TO BE HELD ON NOVEMBER 19, APPLICATION FORM RELEASED
Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Education and Research has released online application form for JIPMER PG (MD/MS) Entrance Exam 2018 which leads to admission in January session. Application fee is Rs 1500 and Rs 1200 depending upon the category.
Registration has started for JIPMER PG 2018 January session entrance exam. Candidates need to visit the official website to apply online. As per the initial notification, the application form was supposed to be available from 10 AM today, on September 11, 2017, however it was issued a little late in the evening. The website seemed to facing technical irregularities since early morning.
It was initially expected that the application formwill be available at jipmer.edu.in. Usually all forms for JIPMER admissions and entrance exams are launched there. But this time the form has been launched at www.jipmer.puducherry.gov.in. Admission prospectus and guide to apply has also been made available there.
The first the a candidate needs to do is to download and read the prospectus. Details of exam are given in details which must be understood before filling the form. On reaching the website, one needs to click on the apply online link. This leads to the registration form page. Here, personal details have to be filled firstly. Personal details include name of applicant, his/her date of birth, mobile number, email ID. Candidates are advised to refer standard document issued by government or institution to ensure that spellings are correct.
Interested medical aspirants can now visit the official website at jipmer.puducherry.gov.inand apply for 3 years MD / MS courses starting from today i.e. 11 September 2017. JIPMER PG 2018 entrance exam is a University level entrance examination organized by the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research. Entrance exam is scheduled to take place on Nov 19, 2017. Last date to fill the form is Oct 20, 2017 till 05:00 pm.
JIPMER offers MD/ MS. Exam for admission is conducted twice in a year i.e. in November and March, for January session and July session respectively. The application form that has been issued today is being accepted for January session. On the basis of JIPMER PG 2018, the University will fill more than 100 seats. Last year, there were 105 seats including seats for Indian nationals and OCI and Foreign nationals in MD and MS courses.
JIPMER PG Eligibility is also prescribed in the prospectus. Indian nationals/ OCI/ Foreign nationals who possess MBBS or an equivalent degree recognised by MCI. Those who have experience of 12 months compulsory rotating internship / Practical training on or before 30th December 2017 and have the following marks are eligible to apply. For all other categories including OBC/ SC/ ST Category 55% marks in aggregate is the minimum academic marks is the requirement.
The cost of JIPMER PG 2018 Application Form is Rs. 1500 for General / OBC and Rs. 1200 for SC / ST category candidates. The application fee amount is Rs. 3000 for NRI / OCI candidates.
Amount would be payable through credit card, debit card and net banking only. Along with the cost of the application fee, all the candidates will have to pay transaction charges of online fee payment as well. These charges will have to borne by the candidates. No other mode of payment shall be accepted.
Candidates can visit the online portal of JIPMER at jipmer.puducherry.gov.in and navigate to apply online link. The application form submission is to be done in online mode only. Candidates after reaching the website will find the Registration form, will need to provide personal details, academic details, correspondence details, experience details.
A recent colour passport size photograph with light background taken with a placard indicating name of candidate and date of taking photograph is required. Photograph must be 30mm width x 45mm Height in .jpg format having minimum size 20KB and maximum size limit 200KB. Signature of 80mm Width X 35mm Height taken on a plain white paper with a black ball point pen in .jpg having minimum size 20KB and maximum size limit 200 KB should be affixed electronically.
Applications will be rejected if candidate fails to fulfill the prescribed eligibility criteria for admission or failing to obtain the minimum marks in the qualifying examination. Candidates must also submit the category certificate to which the candidate belongs.
JIPMER PG 2018 admit cards will be issued to the candidates containing name and date of birth, photo and signature image as uploaded by the candidate, examination city allotted and roll number.
